Subject:
finishing question

F. Drybread
>I was told by a fellow turner that he used boiled linseed oil exclusively on his items. I have used it but am not satisfied with the results I get. I put it on a couple of small items and after 24 hrs. I put a coat of Myland's wax on but am still not satsfied with the result. Has anybody used linseed oil as a sealer and applied other finishes over it or just used it as a finish itself?

I sure do like to turn but finding finishes that I am satisfied with seems to be that needle in the haystack. Thanks for any reply.
