Subject:
What is juried work?

William
>Please pardon my ignorance on this subject. My future misses and I were looking through the booklet of the upcoming May Fair that will be in Allentown, Pa. and she came across a section about “juried work”. She asked me what that meant. I told her I think it means that your work is pre-judged and selected for show.

There have been a few threads on here about the subject of those who were selected to be “judges” and those who work went up before the judging body.

I think I gave her a close answer, but I wanted to be sure.

So how does that whole process play out? It seems to be one of the higher tier accomplishments that an artist obtains. Or so it seems.

The just curious :)
