Subject:
Finishing with BLO

>I just finished turning three segmented bowls made from walnut and Oak.
I have read about "popping the grain" with BLO, so I applied it to the bowls.
I have never used BLO before and I will put several coats of BLO on the bowls, but I want to put a hard finish on top of it.
What can I put over BLO (once it is dry) that I can get a Lowes (I live in a rural setting)?
How long do I wait for the BLO to dry?
Thanks.
I have been searching for topics on this, but can't find any.
Also, I don't have a buffing system or a vacum chuck, and I can't put the bowls back on the lathe, as I have cut off the fixing.
