Kelton Center Saver System

>Just took delivery on the center saver and for my first try it didn't turn out too bad. I didn't have the angle right on the largest bowl so the next to largest bowl has a very thin bottom. I started with the smallest bowl and went to the larger one etc. I will definately get 5 bowls out of the blank. My question is, is there any logic to knowing where the blade is after it is in so far you can't see it anymore? Or it just a matter of practice to get a feel for it like Mahoney says in his VDV? I had no problem on the smaller bowls. Ron
