Evelyn's Flowery Plate w/pics

Jennifer@Indy.USA
>Hi Everyone,

This is a little plate that I made for a co-worker who is having a baby in June. Her and her husband found out that they are having a little girl and they are naming her Evelyn Faye. Her little room is painted sage green and mauve and has purple flowers all over it. I would like to make a stand before I give it to her on Saturday. I attempted one today but it ended up in the trash. I'll start over tomorrow.

The plate is about 7" diameter, made of cherry, bleached rim, burned and then colored with Prisma markers. Sprayed with Krylon Fixatif, then 4 coats of Rockler Wipe on Poly finish. A final coat of Lee Valley conservators wax was put on today. I think I might buff it a bit with the Beal wax wheel. Comments welcome. My pics are not the best. I was having a hard time getting both rims in focus. Practice I guess.

Thanks for looking,

Jennifer
