Homemade Handle question

Doug Bartos, Md
>I just purchased a Woodcut Proforme (small gloat) hollowing tool and I have made a handle for it. My question is how deep to drill the hole. The ground part of the tool that is designed to accept set screws in the regular Woodcut handle is about 1.5 inches. The ferrule on my handle is about 3/4 of an inch and the overall length of the handle is about 22 inches.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Doug
