Subject:
Cost of Madrone

Earl Eyre
>I have an opportunity to buy some madrone and maple burl for .75 a pound. This is wet wood, the burls have just been cut off the trees. The owner will rough cut the burl into large pieces (one burl weighs over 2000 pds). I have never bought wood like this. I usually get my green wood for free--but it is not madrone and maple burl. My question is: is this a fair price?

It will be available in Roseburg, OR if anybody else is interested.
