It has tree openings, one the left most, is deeper and wider, I presume it is for the large cutters, the middle opening is a little narrower and has a step, see picture, that makes it just right for the standard cutters, the right most opening, has a double step, which brings it higher and it is also narrower, so the mini cutters fit just right in there.
Do I really need the adapter kit? It seems to me that maybe it was meant for earlier versions of the gate.
