Dealing with fruitwoods?

>I suppose Mulberry falls in the fruitwood category. How best to dry it...should I turn rough blanks and DNA soak, leave the whole Anchorsealed blanks to dry for years? The Bradford Pear I tried as a rough turn then DNA warped and cracked so badly I couldn't use it. WOuld like to avoid this on the few mulberry blanks I was able to bring home.
