Worm holes?

>Or more precisely, grub holes...the ones that go all the way through a turning. What do you guys and gals do about them? (No, Molly, I am not inclined to pickle the critter and glue him back in there! LOL)
Do you leave it, patch it, use it as a design opportunity? The one I had was in a grain area where any patch would stick out like a sore thumb so I decided to make it obvious. I twisted up some copper (bronze?) steel wool and CAed it in the hole then turned it smooth. Can't get it bright and shiny though...maybe the CA affected it. Also thought about crushing some seaglass and packing it in the hole, or epoxying a pearl in there. Will try that on the next one I come across.
