Subject:
POS 8" VS Grinder

tdaniel
>Yesterday I helped set up a Wolverine jig on a new Delta 8" VS grinder. Being used to the old 8" 1800 grinder which weighs about 100 lbs I did not like the VS from moment one but it got worse. After sharpening one 1/2" bowl gouge the motor began pulsing like the power was going off and on. After a few minutes of fooling with it the guy decided to take it back for a refund and he finished sharpening his gouges on my old style 1800 rpm Delta. He left here with a new 1800. Someone please tell Black and Decker that the VS isn't going to fill the shoes of the old 23-725. The 8" VS has to be the biggest POS on the market, bar none.
