Thanks Johanna for this mesquite. PIC

Dave Smith, Longview, WA
>I got this mesquite from Johanna in NM last fall during one of my “drive abouts.” As you can see there were a few grubs in the wood that made things a little sticky. Thanks goodness grubs don’t like alcohol. All the wood got dunked after I cut it up and before I sealed it with Anchorseal.

The weed pot is 5 1/4" high by 2 ˝" at its widest. The opening is about 3/32" thick to the bead. It then tapers to a 3/8" diaameter hole about 2" below the rim.

You may not be able to perceive it but the shoulder has a slight concave curve which contrasts with the convex curve of the body. The over all form is one find very pleasing.

Finished with two coats of Rockler's gel polyurethane.

Critiques welcome.
