Subject:
Wax or Polish over India Ink?

TomW In SouthJersey
>I've turned a Englis walnut hollowform and made a lid/collar from cherry but dyed it with 3 coats of India ink. I am adding a small ebony finial to the top that is sanded to 12,000 and polished with Mylands.
So I'm looking to get a slightly glossier finish on the India ink to blend better with the finial. Can I use a friction polish like Mylands or Carnuba wax over the India ink? Any other suggestions?

All advice welcome,
Tom Wright
