Subject:
Ginko Wood for Turning

>Good Afternoon Friends,

My sister-in-law is having some problems with two ginko trees in the side yard, and is having them taken down. These are mature trees whose roots are coming up thru her celler floor, and it will cost her a fortune for removal and repair. The ginko sheds small globular seed pods which smell like dog dirt. I'm not sure if the wood itself has that unpleasant oder, and if the wood is worth turning into bowls. Has anybody used it, and is it worth asking for? Appreciate your comments.

George
