Subject:
funny thing about alcohol

DWFII
>Has anyone else noticed this...? I rough turned a maple vase this last week and I epoxied a waste block to the base. Not five minute epoxy either although it wasn't System 7. I turned the vase no problem.

Satisfied I had made all the progress I could, I stuck it in the alcohol overnight. When I went to check it this afternoon, the waste block popped right off....like it had been put on with potato starch. Upon closer examination, the epoxy was soft...even after sitting out for a couple of hours...sort of like squashed jelly beans. I didn't know that alcohol was a solvent for epoxy...???!!

Anyone else had this problem?
