Help! looking for a tool...

DWFII
>I'm looking for a tool...

a cutting tool...

a tool to hog out end grain...

a tool without too steep a learning curve (I only do this on the weekends)...

a tool that will also...if possible...work on face grain...

a tool that doesn't require another machine to sharpen (have a good Woodcraft slow speed grinder)...

a tool that combines all of these features in one...

If such is possible...

Videos (esp. on dvd) are considered tools in my book...

I've read Lyn's articles on hollowing tools. Very informative. I bought Sorby's Swan necked Multi-tip tool but , as I understand it, it is primarily a scraper and isn't all that suitable for end grain. I have some good bowl gouges and some decent spindle gouges and a few scrapers.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

[btw, I do have a finished bowl and a couple others in the works--thanks to the many generous people here and in the woodtuning world in general. And, especially thanks to Bill Grumbine. I'm no photographer but will post photos when I get a few more finished]
