Lathe selection?

David Dixon
>I ordered a Jet 1442 lathe the other day and now I'm having second thoughts after reading about the Reeves drive on them. Should I wait awhile and save a little more money and get the 1642 or the PM or get the 1442 and start turning and learning. I used an old PM about 30 years ago for several years, made alot lamps, bowls, table legs, and some walnut(like a Hurst T handle) shifter handles. Just want to NOT be dissapointed . Bill Grumbine told me about this forum. Thanks ,Bill(I ordered your DVD) Thanks for any reply! David
