Turning Archive 2005
I usually am pretty careful about overstepping our "no commercial posts" policy, but I got an e-mail from my old partner, Jim Cummins' widow, Karen, saying that she is finally clearing out the last of Jim's stuff, lo these six years after his passing, and I would like to help her out if I can. So, please bear with me.
Among the effects is a Craftsman wood lathe on a stand, presumably with some attachments and possibly an extension bed. Near as I can tell it is a 12 x 32, although she didn't describe it very well. She said there is another lathe bed there as well, and some attachments.
Apart from getting a digital picture of this old machine, can any of you suggest the best way for her to sell it. I presume that an ad in the local paper makes the most sense, but what would a good asking price be?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
