Sure smells nice, however..

>You can add Eastern Red Cedar to the list of wood species that give me skin rashes. Someone sent me a large chunk as a thank you for a turning lesson. Roughed it this past weekend and I began itching on Tuesday. Same pattern as the other ones - inside the elbows and on wrists, some on right armpit - everywhere shavings and dust make it to my more sensitive skin. Argh.

I'd turned dry cedar quite a few times but this was the first that was wet. The sap that I saw flowing out of it should have been a warning sign. Next time. Anyway, I know the drill. No big deal. Just itchy.
