>Lay in bed last night thinking about a collapsible, no metal, parts easily replaceable field sawbuck and this is what I came up with. It's held together with loose dowels which allow it to swivel to the gap you want. There are two sets of holes in the bottom rails to expand the adjustability. The weight of the log holds it in place, but it you wanted to, you could run the holes in the bottom all the way thru and use pointed dowels. There is no metal to ruin a saw chain and parts that get get chewed up are quickly replaced. Will test it out this afternoon.
