3 Wet Hackberry Vases *PIC*

>Showing these little vases which are wet turned. The hackberry is interesting with the black ebony spots or threads. I put some turquoise Coran in a couple of splits before turning. These are turned down to 1/16". Doing a Binh Pho class this weekend in KCMO (Turn About Wood)and will need these for piercing and airbrushing. This is my 3rd session with him. I do find it easier to turn segmented bowls thiner than the wet ones. The small vases are about 3" x 4 1/2". They do turn fast and easy, I like the distortion caused by drying, especially around the knots. Ends were sealed with super glue after turning and the rebate is super glued to add strength and support. I have used Deft clear wood finish on these, one time to seal before Air Brushing. GT
