Turning Archive 2005
>You don't need to wait for your wood to dry. Nada. Soaks can lead to failure and disappointment in my opinion. Turn the wood down to approx. 3/16" all in one go. Keep it sealed at the ends. The exterior is sealed before you turn the inside. Use lacquer and wipe off. It dies quick. Sometimes I will drill a hole to start. You can have great success with the right wood. Showing 5 bowls all done from black locust. For all you non belivers here are pics. Bowls were done pretty fast it is the finishing where the time is. 2 Weeks of seal, finish, dry, sand, dry, seal and finsh dry.
