HOLLOWING END GRAIN *PIC*

>When hollowing end grain should the tool be traversed from the center to rim or vice versa? I had a very hard time hollowing this piece. I found that if i went from center to rim i could only go so far untill the whole machine started to vibrate. Then the same thing happened going from rim to center. I resorted to going in both directions to get it done. I'm a rookie at this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
