Oriental flair? *PIC*

Capt Skip
>Got a chance to turn thursday night. Chucked a peice of pearwood and started. Didn't have a shape in mind but it became my first sort of hollow form. All done with a Ellsworth gouge so the underside of the rim is thicker then I would have liked. Most turned to 1/8" thick. I was having so much fun I completed forgot about watching Survivor on tv.
My wife thought it had an oriental look to it.
The bowl sits 4 1/2" high andd is 6" diameter. Finish is sanded to 1200 then waterlox. Please let me know what you think. I almost had the nerve to burn or texture the lip and still may.
