Niche photo *PIC*

>I finally found a photo of the "Niche" piece. This photo I took myself, so excuse the obvious problems. (lost all my other images when the computer crashed.)

The wood is mahogany, finish is tung oil and beeswax. This piece was made from an old bedpost my brother gave me....".see what you can make from this!" I do love a challenge.

I named this piece "Merangue" as it reminded me of a couple dancing, two forms seem to merge into one. I have other pieces named for dances also.

I have posted this one before, it involved making a series of turnings, deep hollowing, and mounting on the lathe on several different axis points. The only carving was the spiral leading up from the base. Thanks, Keith
