Wood Haul *LINK* *PIC*

Roger Smith
>I harvested this load from a standing dead sassafras tree in my sister's back yard. It measured 24 inches at the base and 12 inches at the fork. It has been dead over 4 years and needed to be removed.

I notice something unusual while roughing a couple of blanks. One side of the tree cuts normal, but the other side is extremely hard. It looks as though the saw does not have any teeth and takes a lots of pressure.

That side of the tree displays a lot of rays after being rough turned. The rays have a very high reflective display property.
