Subject:
Butternut Shallow Bowlw/pic

>Good morning everybody,

It's late night at work and I thought I post a picture of another recent bowl of mine. I was trying to copy the form of a ceramic bowl that I have here at my house. This is a piece of butternut crotch. It was really nice wood to turn. I had a hard time getting the light up underneath the bowl so I'm not sure if you can see the exact form that the bowl has. The outside walls are steeper than the inside which makes it almost a platter.

This one is about 13" diameter and about 3" tall. It is finished with 2 coats of Rockler wipe on gel poly so far. I will probably put a couple more on and then a coat of Lee Valley Conservators wax. Comments welcome as always.

Thanks for looking.

Jennifer
