Subject:
Shortening a tool bit.

Don Henthorn
>I am turning my first hollow form and find that the tool bit is too long to get the part adjacent to the entry hole. The hole is 1 1/8" in diameter. I need to shorten the 2 1/2" bit to about 1 1/4" but a hacksaw blade won't even scratch it. I suppose I need a carbide blade but I haven't found any so far. Will appreciate some help.
