Resaw fence for logs *PIC*

>I started turning a few months ago and have learned that wood is free, especially if you have a chain saw and a bandsaw (I do). I also learned that you better be realllllly careful sawing logs on a bandsaw.

Well I needed to cut a cherry log that I picked up, and decided to put together a quick resaw fence. I got the idea that if I used a 24 inch pipe clamp somehow, at least I could grip the log very tight without putting lag bolts in it. Here's what I came up with. In reality, it is not a fence, but a stability guide, as I ran it through by eye. Worked pretty well.
