Subject:
Mike Mahoney Walnut Oil

tek
>I've used Mike Mahoney Walnut oil on a couple of pieces now. So far I like it, because it seems to add less color of it's own, than a lot of other oils do. Also it doesn't seem to be as thick as a lot of other oils. I would think that it penetrates quite well. Does anyone have much experience with it? Should I use a second or third coat? How long between coats? What can I expect of it a month from now, or a couple of years from now? Does the oil yellow with age? How long does it take to set up? Do you recomend wax over it? Do any of you use Mikes Wax and Oil mix? What do you think of that?
Thanks
Tom
