UN-stuck Drive (1236)

Went with the Split Nut Method,to which I added a 3/4"id washer with a slot cut.

Pegged the spindle and snugged up the nut, leaned on the wrench . . *boink* out she came. Friend is getting another 1x8 nut to which I'll weld a 3/4"id heavy washer and, from now on, that little appliance will now go on the spindle BEFORE the spur drive gets inserted.

Strange (but fortunately) there was not a mark on the taper surfaces; no gauling, nuthin'.

Thanks again Group.
