Subject:
Lighting for the lathe

Joel Hunnicutt
>I have a couple of sets of track lights that I have quit using for my show dispaly, and I decided to mount them over the lathe this weekend. Wow, what a difference! I mounted the 2 tracks perpendicular to the lathe and put three heads in each track. No matter what position I turned in, I had light with very little shadow being cast by my body position. The bulbs were 75 watt spots that I had been using for shows. These fixtures are pretty cheap new (less than $30) and I have seen them at the Habitat thrift store for next to nothing.

Looks like my doctors examining light is officially retired.
