Jet 1442 live center question

Jeremy in LA
>Does your live center heat up? I never noticed it in two years with my Jet Mini, but the very first time I used my new Jet 1442 I felt the live center was warm. This happened the next few times, as well as some noise (not big pieces of wood), and I realized it was wobbling, in a "runout" way. I received a new one from Jet the other day, and this one too heats up, although so far, it's not wobbling, but I am hearing quite a bit of noise when I tighten the tailstock into the wood and run the lathe (like bad bearing noise). Any thoughts? I'm considering the Oneway live center if this is going to keep happening. Thanks in advance for your opinions/comments.
