Another Dragonfly piece *PIC*

Molly Winton
>I've titled this Spirit Flight (personal meaning). It stands 7 1/2" tall, and is 5 1/2" diameter. It was the UGLIEST maple hollow form I've ever made prior to burning it. The wood was very blah with very unattractive spalting. I decided to give it a go with relief burning since most of it would be charred. This is a great way to use nondescript or ugly wood. The dragonflies are colored with Prismacolors, and then acrylic sparkle paint (not obvious in this photo). In person the sparkle makes the dragonflies similar to their own real irridescence. I've yet to put a finish on it.
