Subject:
couple of bowls (PICs)

Mike Schwing from Md.
>Had a lot of time to work in the shop this past weekened. Finished up these two bowls, too.

The cherry burl is local, and about 9" wide. The maple burl is from the west coast, and slightly smaller, maybe 8" wide. Cherry finished with tung oil and buffed, maple burl sanded to 12000 and then Watco Satin Wax'd - awesome product, by the way. Fantastic low sheen, soaks in deep and dries quickly. The first one won't hold soup so I guess it is art. I guess you could put your Cheerios in the other...

Thanks for looking!
