>Ok Mike suggested we buy active ear protection and of course we know we need a powered visor. Here's the Scenario I'm seeing.

Let's say I just bought a mini lathe for $250. Now i need a Tormek grinder complete with all the sharpening aids $500+. Now I need the earphones $300 then the visor $300 now I need a chuck $250 then a good set of Hamlet gouges, skews etc, about $500, Oops forgot the STihl chainsaw $350 minimum, then the bandsaw $500. Dust collector $300, Air cleaner $300 Bill's Grumbine, John Jordan, David Ellsworth and Alan Lacer's DVD's $160 or so.

Have I missed anything. This is getting to be an expensive hobby. I'll have to turn free wood.
