Subject:
Time for a New lathe

TomW in SouthJersey
>I posted a couple months ago that I had received an old Sears lathe and the banjo for the tool rest had broken. I had it repaired and have been having a great time turning wood in all my spare time. Well, the tool rest broke again last night. So its time for a new lathe.
I'm looking at the Jet 1440, Grizzly and HF comparable models. Are there other options I should be looking at? Of course, price is a factor. I find that turning bowls as well as small things like bottle stoppers has been the bulk of what I've done so far. But I would like to try hollow form vessels as well.

I'm open to suggestions and advice. A used lathe is also an option.
