Subject:
How to protect light over lathe

ChuckS
>I lost my nice big shop with 12' ceilings, place to live, ect... I'm putting my lathe in my buddie's basement & he only has 6' ceilings (cement) there. Tight, but I'm short so it will work.
I have a small flourecent light over the bed of the lathe and have visions of an exploding blank smashing the light & electrics, showering me with bits of glass. I'm thinking maybe putting a sheet of Lexan under the light to take any potential impact. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Chuck
