Shop Question

>Hey all,

Just got a 21gal 4.5hp compressor :) I am a newbie with compressors. I just know it will come in real handy in the shop!

Anyway, after the first and I recover financially from Christmas, I will be moving my shop, ummm studio from the garage to the basement! That was my other Christmas present!
I can't wait. When you try turning when it feels like 19 degrees in the garage, I don't know what does more chattering and vibration, me or the bowl.

What I would like to do is set up some piping for the compressor around the shop. First, can my size compressor handle long runs? Secondly, not knowing much about compressors, is it ok to leave them on without draining the tank after each use? The directions with the compressor is vague at best. So I want to start good practice!

Thanks in advance!

William
