A Vase for my Mom w/pics

>Hello Everyone,

Well as my Christmas gift turning frenzy has come to an end....I believe this is the earliest I've ever been done....I actually have time to bake some cookies today and enjoy some Christmas music.....it snowed a bunch here last night and it's really looking and feeling like Christmas. My family has a tradition that everyone must make the gifts that they give. So this year I decided to partake in making everyone peppermills....a new venture for me....and not a pleasant one I might add. They are done...and I might be brave and post a picture of them later. Let me just say this. Dr. Seuss would be proud! For now I'll just show you a vase that I made for my mom yesterday. Pardon the poor lighting...it was a rush job late last night. It's a piece of curly maple with an ebony collar.

It's about 8" tall. Sanded to 600 except the collar was micromeshed to 12000. Finished with Rockler gel poly.

Critiques and comments welcomed.

Hope everybody has a wonderful Holiday Weekend!

Peace,

Jennifer
