Looky what I got!

>Good afternoon all

Today I was transporting my youngest daughter to Grandma and Grandpa for a few days of visitation, and on the way home I stopped by my tree guy friend. He was holding this one for me along with a truckload of English walnut and apricot. This is black birch according to my friend.

I'm going to have to think about this one for a while, although I do have some ideas. It took two of us to get it in the truck. Overall size is approximately 28" long and 18" -20" in diameter!

A note on picture quality. This was taken with my Maxwell Smart camera phone, which I picked up last week. Now, I had no intention of ever getting a phone with a camera in it, but the credit I had coming to me to buy a phone was equal to the cost of this particular machine, so I thought, why not? One never knows when one might need to photograph a burl to taunt his turning buddies!
