New bowl turner

Pete LaBelle
>Guys - - Am relatively new to the turning scene. Have been using my 1941 Craftsman lathe to turn a few bowls, small as they may be, and having a lot of fun. Have been turning green bowls thus far, but am faced with the warp that comes days after. I am learning that I need to rough turn the shape to an equal thickness to minimize cracking, let it dry for a few months, then finish turn it.

Any tips on how to minimize the warping effects?

Just stumbled into this web site this past Friday and think I have found a treasure of information.

Thanx.........Pete
