Subject:
Small turnings on a big lathe, keeping 2 lathes?

Bud
>Hi all

I will be upgrading from my medium-sized lathe, a Nova 3000 to a great white 2436. My question is, I still enjoy turning small- pens & such. I know I “can” turn small items on a big lathe but after time, will I find a big lathe too cumbersome & a “pita” to do small turnings. I already have some interest of buyers in my nova lathe and can use the extra room & a lil extra cash, should I sell it. Having said that...seeing I will take a good loss selling the Nova, I would hate later, should I sell it, to say to my self-“gee…I wish I would of kept the old Nova as an extra lathe”. Would appreciate opinions of those who went through such a dilemma? Or maybe other reasons to have 2 lathes?

Thanks Much & please B safe turning
