Maple burl, about 8" x 6", done on commission. Sanded to 1500, by hand because it wouldn't hold a vacuum. One coat of tung oil, one of sanding sealer then 2 coats of brushed Mylands cellulose lacquer, steel wooled in between 1 and 2. Then sanded to 600 and buffed with tripoli and white diamond. Incredible, deep gloss from just the 2 coats of mylands. First time I put it on thick like that.
