My friend that got me started in woodworking recently lost his father. My friend just gave me his father's lathe. It is a Sears model that looks pretty old. It is about 60 inches long.
The motor hangs down from a hinge to keep weight on the pulley. He also gave me about Craftsman 12 chisels still in the original boxes.

I'm still looking for room in my cramped garage/woodshop/motorcycle shop to place it.
Can anybody tell me anything about this lathe? I can't locate a label or model number on the unit.
