Subject:
Wood gloat....now what to do? *PIC*

Danny Wells
>I found this holly tree on one of our logging jobs. The first 20' was limb free. I got 15 blocks 16" long and most are 10-12" in diameter, plus 4 smaller pieces.

I tried to split it down the pith, but it won't split. I ripped one block with my chain saw but that was slow. I guess I could use my bandsaw. Any other suggestions? I really don't want to lose this to cracking and splitting if at all possible. I will seal the ends with anchorseal.

Is holly back to crack as it dries in log form?
