New Glue soaked bowls *PIC*

>Greetings all,

Here are a couple of a oak natural edged bowls I have completed after soaking them in the glue water solution. Both were soaked for about a week and then air-dried. I am pleased with the results and wanted to share them with everyone. Both were turned thick at about 1/4-5/16", then finished with Minwax Tung Oil Finish and buffed on the Beall system. They are about 5" in diameter and 4" deep.

I believe the glue soaking helped stabilize the wood enough that I did not experience the tearout or disintegration of the wood fiber while turning. I am looking forward to doing more wood with this technique. The next wood will be some spalted birch I picked up in Northern Wisconsin.

Thanks for looking.
