Pocket Watch Supplies

>Hi Everybody,

I've got some interest in making a few pocket watches for gifts and am wondering who is the best supplier for the inserts. I don't want to break the bank but I don't want the cheepo plastic framed ones either. Also, am I correct in that you buy the watch insert and then a ring that sits in the turned piece that the watch insert screws into? Obviously I've never made one. I looked at Rockler this morning but there's looked pretty cheep. They were in packaging I couldn't open but they looked like plastic? I looked at the Klockit website but there's not much to choose from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch,

Jennifer
