Subject:
Another Drill Press Question

Stuart Johnson
>I've pretty well decided the chuck on my drill press is shot. No matter what I can only get it to open a little over 3/8". Grizzly sells a 5/8" JT3 chuck for $15.00. When I go to MSC their cheapest is around $90.00. Enco has a ball bearing one for about $42.00.

Is there that much difference in the quality of the chucks? Other than pens I'm not a real heavy user but I do want to try making some of my own tools so I guess I will be doing some metal drilling.
