Subject:
Moving a Lathe

Dustmaker Mike
>Last night on the Chat I asked about moving my lathe (Jet 1236) cross country (moving company)and how to make it ready. It was suggested by a few people to remove the legs and place the bed on a piece of plywood, and take the head and tail stock and carry them with me in my truck. Should I put anything on the bed rails to keep them from rusting what about the base of the head and tail? Anything else I should do? I have a few weeks before the movers come and I am trying to be ready for them. Thanks
